⁴¹ Others thought, “This is the Christ.” But still others retorted, “How can the Christ come from Galilee? ⁴² Does not Scripture assert that the Christ will be of the seed of David and come from Bethlehem, the city where David lived?” ⁴³ As a result, the crowd was sharply divided because of him.
